מחשבות על יהדות הומניסטית


היהדות ההומניסטית מאמינה:

- בכך שיהודי הוא כל אדם המזדהה ורואה עצמו כיהודי, ולוקח חלק פעיל במסורת, בתרבות ובהיסטוריה היהודית.



- ביהדות כציביליזציה. רואה את ישראל כמרכז הציביליזציה היהודית.



- בכך שהציונות היוותה מהפכה תרבותית שאפשרה לאדם היהודי לחיות כבן חורין ונתנה לו לגיטימציה לפתח את רוחניותו, במרכז הציביליזציה שלו, בישראל.



- שהדת היהודית היא ביטוי לתרבות ולמסורת היהודית.



- הזהות היהודית נשמרת ע"י חינוך יהודי המתבטא בלימוד ההיסטוריה, התרבות והמסורת, מעגל החיים והטקסים. היהדות ההומניסטית מזמינה ללימודי היסטוריה, פילוסופיה, תנ"ך, ספרות וכל ביטוי יהודי. כל זאת באווירה חופשית ופלורליסטית.



- ההיסטוריה היהודית היא סיפורם של בני האדם. התנ"ך הוא העדות למשמעות, לאתיקה ולמוסר של האדם.



- הבסיס לאתיקה הוא האחריות לאחר.



- היהדות היא היישום של החרות והכבוד העצמי של העם היהודי.



- חרות וכבוד עצמי יהודי אינם נפרדים מחרות וכבוד עצמי של כל שאר בני האדם.



- על האדם החובה והאחריות לטפל ולפתור את הבעיות בין בני האדם. בלב המסורת היהודית האחריות החברתית, מאבק לצדק חברתי ולחיים אקולוגיים. על האדם לפעול ולחנך בקהילה, בישראל ובחברה הכללית בכדי להפוך את העולם למקום צודק והומאני יותר.



היהודית ההומניסטית רואה עצמה כזרם לגיטימי ביהדות ובעלת זכות להקמת קהילות בארץ ובעולם בכדי לשמור ולקדם את אמונותיה.

The Humanist Judaism believes that Jewish identity is preserved through Jewish education in practicing their culture, their festivals, their traditions, their life cycle, creating and maintaining their rituals, citing a study of its history, philosophy, literature and all kind of Jewish cultural events in a free and pluralistic environment.



The Humanist Judaism believes that Jewish history is a saga of human beings, the Bible is a testament for the meaning of morality and ethics of human beings and is based on human responsibility.



The Humanist Judaism believes that Judaism is the practice of freedom and dignity of the Jewish people and should go hand in hand with freedom and dignity of every human being.



The Humanist Judaism believes that human beings have a responsibility to solve human problems. Jewish tradition line upon social action, struggle for social justice and ecological serving . Educating all the above within the Jewish community and in the general society, aiming for a more just, caring and human world.
